Our characters - the garbage
The primary characters, were highlighted to emphasize the challenge of keeping Oslo clean and free from litter. We aimed to exaggerate their attempts to reach the garbage can, making it clear that they couldn't replicate the amusing moves seen in the animations.
Whimsical elements were incorporated to accentuate the character's actions and exaggerate the goal of reaching the garbage can.
Our main animation introduces all of the garbage characters. This animation was shown in all cinemas in Oslo.
Our first three animations focus on each garbage element. These were used on The Oslo municipality webpage.
The movement storyboard is designed to capture the eye and hold the user's attention.
These characters were our initial in-house concept. However, we decided against making the problematic trash a superhero.
Movement trace and action was crucial when pitching the idea to the client.
This character served as the base style for one of the initial sketch ideas for the trash characters.

Our process with Rusken - Oslo municipality
The municipality of Oslo aimed to create awareness among children aged 8-14 about littering in Oslo's streets by highlighting that trash cannot make its way to the trashcan by flying, jumping, or attempting other methods.
Our initial idea was to portray each piece of trash as superhero characters. However, we realized that trash is not the hero but part of the problem. So we depicted the trash characters in a more traditional manner and placed greater emphasis on motion graphics to convey the core message.
Our three web productions were created on a 16:9 canvas, focusing on each trash character's attempts to reach the trashcan.
Our main production was also produced in a 16:9 format, featuring all of our trash characters. This was screened in all cinemas in Oslo.
